 Grade Level Expectations

Kindergarten: Kindergarten students should normally be encouraged to develop creativity and eye/hand coordination through the use of traditional play activities without technology.  It is still very beneficial to have a shorter (25-35 minute) once per week kindergarten technology class to orient them to the computer lab and conquer the use of the mouse.  Kindergarten students can complete 36 selected lesson videos (skipping the questions, quizzes, and tests). It is easiest to lock-step this grade where the instructor gives verbal instructions to view the video and does a verbal review afterward. Complete instructions are provided for the instructor to lock-step this level. We have seen a tremendous difference in 1st grade ability based on whether they had a kindergarten technology class.  Kindergartners love technology class!

The following expectations will vary due to the individualized structure.  They are listed as average expectations.
